"DINAAR" for Liver disorders
Sharbat-e-Dinaar is a famous Unani formulation, it is given for Hepatitis, enlargement of liver, dropsy and pleurisy, it also removes constipation and increases urination. It is the compound of colorful flowers, seeds & roots.
The Sharbat (found in markets) is made in white sugar & we have checked that its healing is not at the TOP-MARK. Furthermore, it is usually supplied with combination of Neelofar, Kasni (Chicory) seeds & root, Rose, Gaozubaan (Borage) & Aftimoon (Tukhm-e-Kasoos ~ Cuscuta Reflexa). Sheeh (Mugwort), Celery seeds & Rewand Chini were added further to increase the strength of this formulation. Instead of consuming the Sharbat, it is better that herbs should be purchased, cleaned properly & ground together into a powder. Take one liter flask (thermos), add two tablespoons of "Dinaar" powder with boiling water & seal the flask for 3 hours, drink the hot infusion as 3-4 cups daily, it can be sweetened with honey. Leave behind the last sip of your cup that will have some powder settled at the bottom.
Return to Page TOP "Dinaar" also has Aftimoon, the plant which is called "Akaas Beil" in Urdu, the seeds (called Tukhm-e-Kasoos) are so beautiful, round & small. They are alterative, carminative, diaphoretic, diuretic, expectorant, febrifuge, purgative, stomachic, tonic; purifier of the blood and cleanser of the body. They are useful in liver and spleen complaints, bilious affections, diarrhea and flatulence. They are given in jaundice. They have mildly laxative effect and are also given for urinary problems.
